The mission of the Western Emergency Department Operations Conference (WEDOC-2104) is to deliver a dynamic, interactive and evidence-based educational update, covering a variety of aspects related to operations research. Using local, national and international expert speakers, an evidence-based and succinct presentation format, and sufficient time for question and venues for discussion, the organizing committee is committed to providing an energetic and interactive educational program. The goal of the conference is to aim higher through collaboration and sharing in order to address one of the most important health care issues facing Canadians in the 21st century: system-wide overcrowding. In addition, the venue and timing will introduce conference attendees to the wonders of Spring in Edmonton, especially its River Valley and warm hospitality. We look forward to you learning and sharing your experiences with us!
