The BC Substance Use Conference scheduled for this June has been postponed as part of measures to limit the spread of COVID-19. We recognize that the importance of sharing guidance, experiences, and evidence to protect our communities is especially important at this time, especially as we learn more about the virus and its impact on our communities and people who use drugs or are in recovery. In place of the in-person conference, we are offering a virtual webinar series based on topics that all our valued conference registrants have selected.
We welcome everyone including addiction medicine clinicians, other health care providers, researchers, people with lived and living experience, families impacted by substance use, and policymakers — from all across the province and beyond — we will strategize ways that we can finally bring about effective policies, interventions, and solutions. Come to share ideas, learn from others, build new paradigms for practice, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the public health and health care systems.
