Featured Break Activity
Gibson Somal, Personal Trainer - 20 Mini Workout during the lunch break
At our lunch break Gibs will walk everyone through a 20 min simple work-out that you can do from your home or office without any special equipment. It will be recorded for you to access after the conference. He is upbeat and his routines are easy to remember which we hope will help you hit the refresh button in the middle of the day!
Gibs has been in fitness for 15 years and just when he thought he had seen it all, he finds that there is something to new learn every year! This year certainly was no exception with multiple virtual one-on-one sessions! Gibs feels as though the best thing about being a personal trainer is that you don’t know who you are going to meet. He loves working with clients and together they become a ‘tag-team’ and discover that there are no limits to what they can accomplish together. A while back one of his clients introduced him to his idol, Jean Claude Van Damme — entirely star-struck he got tongue-tied! As a kid, his idol inspired and soon he was practicing kickboxing moves on his little brother while watching Jean-Claude Van Damme movies (his brother was a great target). His obsession with martial arts was born and soon enough he received a black belt in karate and kickboxing. This accomplishment naturally led to teaching kickboxing classes and after many years of teaching, he now has excellent coaching tools and incorporates scientific evidence for coaching optimum performance considering each individual’s mindset and physicality.
