How do we support provisionally licensed international medical graduates?
Since 2008, the BC Physician Integration Program (BC-PIP) has played a unique and vital role in preparing provisionally-licensed IMGs for successful practice in British Columbia. The program aims to help IMGs:
- Better understand British Columbia's model of health care, professional organization services and resources, as well as the ethical and professional standards required in practice.
- Prepare for the Medical Councial of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) Part II, including an overview of exam structure, objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) practice opportunities and more.
We currently offer:
- The Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination Part II Preparation Course orientates candidates to the expectations of "MCCQE Part 2" and provides hands-on opportunities to interact with standardized patients through mock OSCE clinical-vignettes.
- Archived webinars, recordings and other resources focusing on non-clinical topics that are relevant to enhancing the practice patterns of IMGs.
