Nina Zoric completed a Bachelor of Nutritional Science (Honours) at the University of Guelph, a Business Communication Certificate at St. Mary’s University, and she is a Certified Scrum Product Owner®. She joined the UBC CPD team in 2010.
Nina runs the UBC CPD brand development, communication strategy, website design and maintenance for ubccpd.ca, as well as individual conferences and programs in Word Press, SharePoint, and Drupal. She is the project lead for the annual UBC CPD Calendar and is the UBC CPD Social Media Coordinator. Nina is also a member of the Strategic Plan Working Group and leads the System Design Working Group and the Professional Development Committee.
Nina is coordinating various technology enabled learning programs: “This Changed My Practice” educational initiative in a form of a blog (Recipient of the 2012 Royal College Accredited CPD Provider Innovation Award and the 2014 CFPC Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Award), webinars, and the Grand Rounds initiative for better access to videoconferenced rounds.
She is passionate about lifelong learning in today's ever changing environment, providing great education for health care professionals, and developing systems to remove barriers for learners to reach their potential. In her spare time Nina enjoys the wonderful BC nature while hiking, skiing, snowboarding, or kiteboarding. She also bikes to work even when it is snowing!
