UBC CPD provides a range of educational offerings on cancer care in family practice. Our innovative education is based on the latest guidelines and best practices. Interactive workshops are offered in communities throughout BC and our live webinars are available to everyone. We are pleased to partner with the BC Cancer Agency’s (BCCA) Screening Groups, the Family Practice Oncology Network (FPON), and Ovarian Cancer Canada (OCC) in offering these important educational initiatives. To date, we have reached over 40 communities and more than 500 participants through our education. Current programs include:
These interactive workshops provide family physicians with a better understanding of their roles and best practices across the cancer care continuum. Breast, colorectal and prostate cancer workshops are currently being delivered. A new Advanced Cancers module is also being developed by a team of experts.
CCOPE is a partnership between UBC CPD, the BCCA's Screening Groups and FPON.
Expert presenters discuss the latest best practice approaches to ovarian cancer care in family practice. The recent ‘reverse classroom’ workshops have been very popular, allowing participants to maximize time with experts and improve learning outcomes.

FPON and UBC's Division of Continuing Professional Development present webinars 0800–0900 a.m. (Pacific time) every third Thursday of every month (except July, August and December).
