Part 1: Virtual Lecture Session (105 min)  

Broadcast begins at 9:00 AM PDT.  Anyone can attend but you must register for the virtual lecture in order to attend the workshops. 

Part 2: Hands-on Workshops on the Web (90 min each) 

Hosted by local AND experienced providers!

Workshop A: Implants (90 min) - 5 people per trainer.  (max. 20 registrants)
Workshop B: Insertion and Managing Difficult Insertions (90 min) - 5 people per trainer (max. 20 registrants)

Please note that if you only register to attend Workshop B that you will have a break between the virtual lecture and the time of your workshop. You can sign up for both workshops or just one. Registration by Feb 10 is required to ensure we have the time to prepare and ship the kits. You will be assigned to workshops based on your workshop selections; therefore, please do not book anything before 2:30pm until you receive your confirmation. 

You must attend the lecture on the same day as the workshop if you have not attended the lecture previously.

Skills Gained

Participants will be able to:
•    Describe the contraceptive landscape and unmet needs for contraception in Canada
•    Compare the benefits and risks of the etonogestrel subdermal implant and intrauterine contraception

Workshop A: Implants 
•    Gain expertise in inserting, localizing and removing the etonogestrel subdermal implant

Workshop B: IUDs
•    Gain expertise in inserting IUDs and troubleshooting difficult insertions
