IPL aims to improve Indigenous health outcomes by increasing access to culturally safe care for Indigenous Peoples and communities in rural BC. The program helps rural health professionals develop their sense of cultural humility and capacity to deliver care that is culturally safe and trauma-sensitive by co-creating and delivering Nation-specific education content in partnership with Indigenous Elders and patients.

In collaboration with the Joint Collaborative Committees, we support the transition of practice-eligible IMGs from provisional to full licensure.

Practice Ready Assessment - British Columbia (PRA-BC)

In partnership with PRA-BC, we coordinate and deliver a comprehensive, multi-day Centralized Orientation for IMGs, and a two-day training workshop for their Assessors.

The CPD Midwifery Program supports practicing midwives in BC and across Canada through continuing professional development.
