British Columbia Physician Integration Program (BC-PIP)

BC-PIP Overview

The British Columbia Physician Integration Program (BC-PIP) is a free educational initiative that supports the transition for physicians trained outside of Canada into the BC health-care system.

Through ten on-demand online learning modules and an interactive virtual conference, BC-PIP offers practical education and resources on essential topics, such as the Canadian and provincial health-care system, billing, ethics and liability, Indigenous health and cultural safety, opioid prescribing and more.

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC) requires all provisionally licensed International Medical Graduates (IMGs) who are new to practice in BC to complete the program within eight months of the date they obtain their registration with CPSBC.
