Island Medical Program
CPD Opportunities on Vancouver Island
If you’re an island clinician interested in bringing CPD and other education to your community, PEP offers the following pre-designed courses, ready to travel:
Indigenous Specific Anti-Racism Training (ISART)
A novel and comprehensive personal and professional development opportunity designed specifically for clinicians, this training program will allow clinicians to further their understanding of bias and racism in clinical medicine and create change in their practice to better the care and experiences of Indigenous patients and community members.
Multidisciplinary Simulation Course (MSIM)
Provides clinicians with the opportunity to develop their clinical skills and experiences by participating in multilayered simulation scenarios designed to replicate the complexities of clinical encounters.
Primary Care Skills Series
In partnership with the Centre for Interprofessional Clinical Simulation Learning, we have created a clinical skills series designed for primary care clinicians. These workshops will provide participants with the opportunity to partake in hands-on skills training in small groups guided by experienced local facilitators. Our goal is to increase clinician confidence and competence in primary care settings.
