Assessor Training Workshop
This two-day live online workshop provides information, resources, and practical tools to help assessors evaluate and support PRA candidates during the Clinical Field Assessment (CFA) period. It is designed to reduce the stress of the assessment process and improve the overall experience for both assessors and candidates.

Audience
This workshop is required for all PRA-BC primary assessors, and optional for secondary assessors.
Course Topics
In this online workshop, you will:
- Understand expectations of PRA-BC assessors and candidates
- Incorporate cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Learn to use standardized practice-assessment tools (Field Note, Mini-CEX, etc.)
- Develop skills in delivering feedback
- Navigate challenging conversations
- Model patient-centred care

Accreditation
The Division of Continuing Professional Development, University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine (UBC CPD) is fully accredited by the Continuing Medical Education Accreditation Committee (CACME) to provide CPD credits for physicians. This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by UBC CPD for up to 11.50 Mainpro+® credits. Each physician should claim only those credits accrued through participation in the activity.
