Gurveen holds a Master of Public Health degree in Global Health from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of British Columbia. She is especially interested in physician engagement, global human resources for health, and impacting health outcomes in an equitable and socially responsible manner.
Her current portfolio as Project Manager focuses on international medical graduates and new to practice physicians in BC. Specific projects include:
- BC Physician Integration Program (BC-PIP)
- Practice Ready Assessment Program (PRA-BC)
- New to Practice Evaluation
- Personal Learning Plans
Gurveen joined the UBC CPD team in 2010 as a Research Assistant in the Research and Education Unit working on a variety of research and education programs. In 2016, she supported the CME/CPD programs at the Vancouver Division of Family Practice portfolio as an Education Coordinator. She is a member of the UBC CPD Research Working Group. In her spare time, Gurveen enjoys snorkelling in warm waters, reading fiction, experiencing new cultures, and hanging out on the North Shore.
