Now in its eighteenth year, the award-winning CME on the Run! conference series will finish the 2024/2025 season with three popular sessions: Ophthalmology and ENT, Geriatrics, and Therapeutics. Aimed to provide health professionals with practical, well-rounded topics throughout the year, it’s not too late to catch the last three virtual sessions.
“This exceptional award-winning program is a wonderful way to keep up to date in your medical practice and fulfill all your CPD requirements,” says Dr. Bob Bluman, CME on the Run! committee member and Special Advisor at UBC CPD.
With over 800 participants in 2023-2024, this year’s series features renowned speakers who share best practices and innovative approaches to patient care. Short and focused virtual sessions cover topics that range from internal medicine, diagnostics and radiology, gynecology and urology, ophthalmology and ENT, geriatrics, and therapeutics.
Signing up for the final events ensures you’ll be notified when next year’s series starts in the Fall — a great way to stay-up-to date with just one registration. If you missed past sessions, registration for the series offers access to recordings.

Eighteen years of supporting family medicine
The CME on the Run! series commenced in 2007 in collaboration with the UBC Department of Family Practice and addressed subjects like dermatology and cardiac diagnostic testing. Since then, the series has received its highest ratings for presentations on ophthalmology, pediatrics and psychiatry.
“As a current member and previous chair of the conference planning committee, I appreciate all the effort that has gone into making this program an outstanding learning experience,” says Dr. Bluman.
At the recent session in October, participants revealed that the program is an "excellent source to keep our knowledge fresh and up to date", is "high quality, flexible, non-overwhelming" and "a great source for a variety of topics relevant to family practice."
The next session is fast approaching and features presentations on topics like systemic diseases affecting vision, chronic sinusitis and retinal disorders.
Register for the upcoming conference on February 7.
Health professionals are invited to sign up for the remaining three sessions.
