By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Summarize the benefits and associated evidence for exercise in patients with cancer;
  2. Quote the recommended exercise guidelines;
  3. Discuss the gaps in care that limit patients with cancer from obtaining qualified exercise support;
  4. Review the role of a qualified exercise professional; and
  5. Describe a framework for referral, collaboration and support of patients with cancer in exercise programs.

  1. Log in to the CFPC Member Access page on the CFPC site: https://www.cfpc.ca/login/
  2. Click the Mainpro+ logo on the right-hand side of the “My Account” page
  3. Click “Enter A CPD Activity” at the top left under your name and select the following:
    - Category: Self-Learning
    - Certification Type: Certified
    - Activity Type: Linking Learning to Practice
  4. In response to “Upon what kind of learning activity is this exercise based?” select “Other” and type “Webcast recording” 
  5. Leave the Program/Activity ID blank
  6. In response to “Professional activities that can stimulate thinking about your practice and/or work,” select the most applicable answer 
  7. Respond to the brief set of questions regarding your practice and the learning you are exploring via the recording
