Brett Giolma (He/Him)
I was born and raised in interior BC. After completing family medicine residency in Kamloops, I did a 6 month Global Health/Rural ER fellowship. I now work in various remote/rural communities while maintaining an urgent care practice in Kelowna, BC. I have experience working as a locum in Northwest territories and rural BC (Salt Spring Island, Kamloops, Princeton, Clearwater, Merritt, Lillooet). My primary practice involves urgent care, rural emergency, rural hospitalist and some office based family medicine. I recently completed the remote ultrasound fellowship program and actively use Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) in my practice. I understand the challenges of transitioning to practice, especially doing rural family medicine. Outside of medicine, I love the outdoors and have completed several adventure races.
