Kelsey Skulnec (She/Her)

Kelsey is a Medical Sonographer with extensive experience in Point of Care Ultrasound. Since 2010, she has been teaching and sharing her passion for ultrasound and education. She has taught through the University of British Columbia’s Continuing Professional Development (UBC CPD) POCUS programs, as well as other programs throughout British Columbia and Alberta. As an IP-certified professional, Kelsey offers a unique opportunity to learn ultrasound directly from a seasoned sonographer. She is continually learning and growing in the use of POCUS to stay current and enhance her teaching. Known for making learning ultrasound fun and accessible, she helps learners incorporate this valuable skill into their practice efficiently, without hindering their time. Passionate about ultrasound and the positive impact point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) has on patient care, Kelsey is adaptable to individual learning styles and needs, creating a supportive and engaging environment that empowers students to confidently apply ultrasound techniques in clinical settings. Residing in Cranbrook, BC, and born and raised in the West Kootenays, Kelsey is committed to supporting regional growth in POCUS within our communities. With a willingness to travel to learners’ sites, she provides hands-on training tailored to the learner’s environment, helping build practical skills right where they work.
