Lori Wik (She/Her)
Dr. Lori Wik is an Internal Medicine Specialist physician, currently practicing in Cranbrook. Her scope of practice includes community medicine in a smaller centre with a mix of both inpatient and outpatient care. Dr. Wik holds multiple medical and administrative roles, including an Assistant Clinical Professor at UBC, Vice President of the Medical Staff Association, and Chairperson of the Medical Staff Society Committee (FEMS/Doctor of BC) to name a few. Being able to continuously learn and grow as a physician, she would love to share her knowledge with others! Dr. Wik has been balancing her family with working a busy practice for the last 12 years and would like to offer support on how to set up a practice in a rural location, work-life balance, and how to be both a parent and a physician. Understanding the burnout and frustrations of new physicians, Dr. Wik has gone through anxious first few years of practice herself. She would like to use her passion for resiliency and social connection as a means to combat burnout with her future coachee/mentee. Outside of work, Dr. Wik has 4 busy children (ages 10-17) and loves to be outside, especially biking in all seasons and trying new hobbies every couple of years
