Simon Pulfrey (He/Him)
I am a Dad, spouse, emergency physician, aging endurance athlete, very part-time potter, and dog owner that lives in North Vancouver. I am also a Clinical Professor within the Department of Emergency Medicine at UBC. I have practiced emergency medicine since 2003 and have been involved in multiple medical education initiatives over the last 20 years that include serving as CFPC-EM program director at UBC, as an examiner for the CFPC, and as a CBL tutor for medical students. Outside of Canada, the several years involved as an emergency medicine educator in Rwanda and Nepal have been particularly meaningful for me. I have recently become a professional certified coach through the ICF after having completed formal coaching training at UBC in 2023. My coaching work is mostly with physicians in the arena of burnout, growth, performance, and regeneration. Connection, communication, courage, and compassion are vital ways of being for me. I am honoured and excited to be part of this program that shares and actively promotes such similar values.
