Sonnie is an interactive ultrasound experience. Through interactive media and visual storytelling, we invite you to make your way through cases ranging from trauma to obstetrics in various rural and remote settings.

- Skills Gained
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Implement point-of-care ultrasound practice in rural settings.
- Identify the basics of probe orientation.
- Use point-of-care ultrasound to screen for and diagnose conditions in the settings of trauma, cardiac arrest, shock, dyspnea, and first and third trimester pregnancy.
- Recognize characteristics of positive and negative ultrasound images.
- Critically interpret ultrasound images and integrate these findings into clinical decision making.
- Determine which ultrasound probe and scan is indicated in each clinical setting.

The Division of Continuing Professional Development, University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine (UBC CPD) is fully accredited by the Continuing Medical Education Accreditation Committee (CACME) to provide CPD credits for physicians. This Self- Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by UBC CPD for up to 3.00 Mainpro+® Self-Learning credits. Each physician should claim only those credits accrued through participation in the activity.
