Real-Time Virtual Support (RTVS) Simulation
Real-Time Virtual Support (RTVS) provides on-demand consultation to support patient care and rural healthcare collaboration. We are excited to partner with the RTVS program to offer a multi-modal simulation program. UBC CPD offers simulation education free of charge to give health professionals an opportunity to hone clinical and collaborative skills, practice connecting to RTVS and experience receiving support from an RTVS Virtual Provider first-hand.

Types of Simulation
Interested in scheduling a simulation for your community? We have a variety of ways that we can support you.
- Supported: Your community or organization is in the process of coordinating a simulation and you would like to include an RTVS component with a dedicated RTVS Provider scheduled to support the session.
- Coordinated: Your community or organization is interested in offering simulation education featuring an RTVS call, and you would like the support of the UBC CPD team to coordinate the education.

This project was developed and is operated by the UBC Faculty of Medicine's Division of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in partnership with the Rural Coordination Centre of BC. Funding for RTVS Simulation was provided by the Joint Standing Committee on Rural Issues, a joint committee of the Doctors of BC and BC Ministry of Health.
The Division of Continuing Professional Development, University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine (UBC CPD) is fully accredited by the Continuing Medical Education Accreditation Committee (CACME) to provide CPD credits for physicians. This activity meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by UBC CPD for up to 4.0 Mainpro+® Certified Activity credits. Each physician should claim only those credits accrued through participation in the activity.
