Supporting the Success of Internationally Trained Physicians in BC: A Role for the Health Care Community
What can we do to help internationally trained physicians thrive in BC? This webinar examines the systemic factors that influence physician integration and highlights how colleagues, administrators and educators can contribute to more inclusive, supportive practice environments. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the experiences of internationally trained physicians, available resources and actions they can take to help make the path to success easier. The webinar features a panel of presenters including internationally trained physicians, and attendees will have the chance to ask questions in real-time.
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Examine the context of internationally trained physicians in BC, including their representation within the health-care workforce and pathways to practice.
- Describe the key factors that shape the integration experiences of internationally trained physicians within the health-care system.
