NP Week 2024

Nurse Practitioner (NP) Week takes place annually to celebrate the incredible role NPs play in the health-care system as leaders, educators, policy makers and more.

This year’s Nurse Practitioner Week takes place from November 10 to 16. In recognition of the extraordinary care that nurse practitioners provide, UBC CPD shares numerous learning opportunities in the form of webinars, workshops, online modules and conferences.

“Interest and engagement of nurse practitioner learners in our programs is ever increasing. To fulfil our mission of providing team-based care to all health professionals, we work closely with our partner at Nurse and Nurse Practitioners of BC (NNPBC), to offer tailored education to nurse practitioners,” says Jackie Howard, Director, UBC CPD.

Team-based care

Nurse Practitioners are critical contributors to primary care delivery in BC, recognized by our partnership with Vancouver’s Primary Care Network in the creation of the Team-Based Care Online education.

Attend up-to-date conferences

At our recent accredited and highly relevant conference, Primary Care Practice Enhancements – Nurse Practitioners Virtual Series, participants revealed the education had "great information", "helpful tips and a thorough overview" and was "very concise and informative."

Nurse practitioners, registered nurses, residents, students and other health professionals are invited to attend upcoming virtual and in-person conferences.

"We look forward to building custom programs that fill practice gaps for nurse practitioners and continue to improve team-based care and health outcomes through CPD”, says Dr. Brenna Lynn, Associate Dean, UBC CPD.
