Kevin Fairbairn (He/Him)

Kevin is Family Physician who practices Emergency Medicine in the community of Nelson.  Dr. Fairbairn completed his family physician training with UBC and then went on to do the CCFP-EM program at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. Dr. Fairbairn is very interested in improving patient care and has been inspired by the clinical possibilities of Point-of-Care-Ultrasound (POCUS). He is the Medical Lead for the UBC CPD Hands-on Ultrasound Program. Dr. Fairbairn is very excited to be involved with ultrasound education and sees it as a way to encourage and grow a community in rural health care. Outside of work, Dr. Fairbairn enjoys skiing, mountain biking, rock climbing, and playing the guitar.
