Bruce Hobson (He/Him)

Dr. Bruce Hobson is a re-purposed Family Physician, who practiced in Powell River for 47 years. He brings a rich background of international training and extensive clinical and mentoring experience, supporting physicians with career navigation and transitioning into rural BC practice. Dr. Hobson serves as the Clinical Lead for the UBC CPD Personal Learning Plans (PLP) and Accreditation, and previously CAMP. He is also an active member of the Guideline and Protocols Advisory Committee (GPAC). Dr. Hobson collaborates with the Practice Support Program at Doctors of BC. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and is an avid adventurer, having swum with sharks, run up and down soccer fields and skydived.
