Belinda van der Berg (She/Her)

Dr. Belinda van der Berg is a Family Physician who completed her training in South Africa and is now practicing in Nelson. She has been in practice for 23 years, with 5 years spent in rural communities. Her scope of practice includes in-hospital care and longitudinal care. She is currently in several medical leadership roles and is actively involved in and advocating for EDIIA work. Dr. van der Berg looks forward to serving as a coach and mentor to support IMG rural colleagues with an interest in in-hospital and longitudinal care. Specifically, Dr. van der Berg would like to support those studying for the CCFP exam, as she would have appreciated more guidance when she was preparing to take the exam. Outside of work, Dr. van der Berg enjoys travelling, swimming in the ocean, spending time with her family, her cats and dog, doing photography, crafting, and being in nature.
