Describe what you do and what programs you work on:  

As Conference, Registration and Administrative Support at UBC Continuing Professional Development (CPD), I support all aspects of our registration systems and am the primary contact for inquiries. Whether it’s updating user accounts or guiding participants to the appropriate courses , I ensure prompt and accurate support. I also provide on-site assistance during live conferences and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise. 

Which partners do you work with most closely?

I collaborate closely with team members across all portfolios to stay informed about the full range of learning activities we offer, ensuring and ensure I can guide participants to the information they need. 

I respond to our main email inbox, @email, coordinate with the Administration and Communications team to support event marketing at registration launch and work with the Creative Learning team to resolve user experience issues related to our eLearning modules and portal. 

Who does your work impact?

My efforts primarily impact health professionals who rely on CPD for ongoing learning and certification. By ensuring smooth registration processes, I also help our internal teams deliver high-quality educational experiences.  

In what ways does this work impact the health community, health-care system, or well-being of the target audience?

This work directly supports the health-care community by ensuring that health professionals across Canada and beyond can access CPD opportunities. By managing registration and providing communication, we help remove barriers to participating in events. This in turn improves the quality of care delivered and supports community well-being. 

What do you think are the new opportunities (trends) affecting your work?

A key trend that affects my work is the growing demand for accessible online learning in health care. As more professionals choose virtual and self-paced options, there is a greater need for seamless online registration and quick technical support.
