Zafrina Poonja (She/Her)

Dr. Zafrina Poonja is an Emergency Medicine Specialist and Certified Executive Coach, practicing in Vancouver. She has extensive experience in Point-of-Care Ultrasound (PoCUS) and physician wellness. Dr. Poonja is the Co-Chair of the VCH VA/VC Wellness Steering Committee and Associate Head of the Vancouver Acute Emergency Physician Association. Through her coaching experience, she has acted as coach, mentor and coachee. She has had the pleasure of coaching other physicians and residents through a variety of different topics including leadership coaching, well-being and burnout, career development, and optimizing their potential both personally and professionally. Outside of work, she enjoys being active in the outdoors with her family.
