Overview

This course will teach you the basics of team-based care, from defining your team and understanding roles, to communication skills and integrating workflows. Take this as a primer before a team-based care workshop, or as a stand-alone learning opportunity.

If your team is in Vancouver, and would like to expand upon your learning, there is a four-session series of workshops on team-based care with additional supports. Please reach out to @email to discuss participating in this workshop series.

The course is divided into 4 lessons:

  • Lesson 1: Recognizing Your Team
  • Lesson 2: Understanding Scope and Roles
  • Lesson 3: Optimizing Communication
  • Lesson 4: Practice Integration and Workflow

$59 + GST

Cancellations: No refunds or transfers for online (asynchronous) courses. 

Previously funded by the Vancouver Division of Family Practice, the course is now supported by participant fees.

Accreditation

The Division of Continuing Professional Development, University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine (UBC CPD) is fully accredited by the Continuing Medical Education Accreditation Committee (CACME) to provide CPD credits for physicians. This activity meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by UBC CPD for up to 1.0 Mainpro+® Certified Activity credits. Each physician should claim only those credits accrued through participation in the activity.
