Coaching in Clinical Practice

Overview

UBC Rural CPD Coaching and Mentoring Program (CAMP) is proud to offer health professionals the opportunity to learn and develop key clinical coaching skills.

In this virtual session, experienced physician coaches Dr. Jane Lea and Dr. Bruce Hobson will provide a didactic presentation followed by an opportunity for participants to practice using the coaching skill with your peers. This session is designed to help you build confidence, ask questions, share your experience, and connect with other coaches/mentors.

REGISTRATION FEE

CAMP Participants: free 

Participants outside CAMP: $49 + GST

Cancellations must be made in writing to @email by Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026 to be eligible for a refund and will be subject to a $15.00 cancellation fee. Refunds are not provided for cancellations made after this date.

CERTIFICATION

This session is accredited for up to 1.5 Mainpro+ Group Learning and MOC Section 1 credit per year. Participants receive CME credits for session attendance and certificates are issued on an annual basis.

The project was developed and is operated by the UBC Faculty of Medicine's Division of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in partnership with the Rural Coordination Centre of BC. Funding for CAMP was provided by the Joint Standing Committee on Rural Issues, a joint committee of the Doctors of BC and BC Ministry of Health.

Accreditation

The Division of Continuing Professional Development, University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine (UBC CPD) is fully accredited by the Continuing Medical Education Accreditation Committee (CACME) to provide CPD credits for physicians.

This activity is an Accredited Group Learning (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program (MOC) of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by UBC CPD. You may claim a maximum of 1.5 hours (credits are automatically calculated). 

This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by UBC CPD for up to 1.5 Mainpro+® credits. Each physician should claim only those credits accrued through participation in the activity.
