Sonnie is an asynchronous, interactive ultrasound experience. Navigate cases that range from trauma to obstetrics in rural and remote settings through immersive visual media storytelling.

Skills gained

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Implement point-of-care ultrasound practice in rural settings.
  • Identify the basics of probe orientation.
  • Use point-of-care ultrasound to screen for and diagnose conditions in the settings of trauma, cardiac arrest, shock, dyspnea, and first and third trimester pregnancy.
  • Recognize characteristics of positive and negative ultrasound images.
  • Critically interpret ultrasound images and integrate these findings into clinical decision making.
  • Determine which ultrasound probe and scan are indicated in each clinical setting.
