CAMP Coach/Mentor Skill Development
UBC Rural CPD Coaching and Mentoring Program (CAMP) is proud to offer registered participants the opportunity to learn and develop key coaching and mentoring skills through Coach/Mentor Skill Development.
In each virtual session, experienced physician coaches will provide a short didactic presentation followed by an opportunity for you to practice using the coaching/mentoring skill with your peers. These sessions are designed to help you build confidence, ask questions, share your experience, and connect with other coaches/mentors.
Eligibility
Physician, midwife or nurse coaches/mentors enrolled in:
- Coaching and Mentoring Program (CAMP)
- Rural Obstetrical and Maternity Sustainability Program (ROAM-SP)
- UBC Clinical Faculty Mentoring
- IMG Peer Support Network (IMG PSN); and/or
- Provincial Physician Coaching Program.
One-and-a-half-hour sessions in which facilitators provide a lesson and an opportunity to practice the following coaching and mentoring skills:
Expressive Ways of Working
Tuesday, November 24, 5 - 6:30 p.m. PCT
Our bodies bring unexplored wisdom into situations. In this session, we will examine the role of different expressive modalities in coaching contexts.

Implementation & Practice
Tuesday, December 8, 5 - 6:30 p.m. PCT
Practice and implement the coaching and mentoring skills from this season! It is recommended to have joined previous sessions to attend.
Facilitators: Dr. Cecile Andreas, Dr. Bruce Hobson
Free. CAMP will be compensating registered CAMP participants at a stipend of $50/hr.
