Self-learning is CPD that physicians complete independently by logging into their national College’s learning portal. All physicians claim CPD credits through either the Royal College or the CFPC, even if they are not members.

Each College has its own CPD credit framework. Self-learning credits differ from formal CPD credits, which require an application to a CACME‑accredited provider such as UBC CPD.

Physicians can complete self-learning on almost any topic, at any time.
