BC Cancer Primary Care Learning Sessions: Cervical Cancer
This online course is for primary care providers (PCPs) practicing in British Columbia who are interested in learning more about cervical cancer care, and their role in supporting patients through their journey. This course will explore the PCP’s role in cervical cancer care, as well as best practices in prevention, screening, treatment, and surveillance.
This course is divided into 3 lessons:
- Lesson 1: Prevention & Screening
- Lesson 2: Diagnosis & Treatment
- Lesson 3: Survivorship, Surveillance & Late Effects
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Identify factors associated with increased risk of developing cervical cancer
- Describe the process for accessing cervical cancer screening in BC
- Cite red flag symptoms necessitating investigation for cervical cancer
- Describe the role of primary care in each stage of the cervical cancer journey
- Identify opportunities and resources for primary care to support patients along the cervical cancer journey
