Looking Beyond a Diagnosis: Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Family physicians and nurse practitioners play a central role in recognizing and managing generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). This self-paced online course equips primary care providers with practical tools to support patients through screening, diagnosis, and treatment of GAD, including consideration of concurrent substance use. Through four interactive modules, you’ll explore the care pathway for GAD and access curated provincial resources, discussion boards, and expert support. This course builds on Looking Beyond a Diagnosis: Mental Health in Primary Care, and learners who have not yet completed that module are encouraged to do so first.

- Select the appropriate investigations and screening tools for GAD

- Appraise and recommend local and provincial resources, services, and coordination pathways
